My friend will have a lymph node CT scan. How long does a CT scan of lymph nodes take?

CT scans typically take 15-30 minutes, but it will depend on how many different locations on the body will be imaged (chest vs chest/abdomen/pelvis) and if IV contrast will be used.
The actual time it takes to do the CT scan is relatively short, 10-30 minutes depending on how much of the body is being scanned. The check-in, registration, changing into a hospital gown also adds to the time of the entire visit!
