It can be. Please take her for an evaluation by a speech pathologist.
Speech delay can be treated by a speech language pathologist. Depending on the severity of the delay and any other cooccurring difficulties, the treatment plan will vary. I would recommend starting with an evaluation by an SLP that specializes in Early Intervention.
Severity depends on a lot of factors. Consult a speech language pathologist. Contact local early childhood education programs
Good morning,
If a speech delay is present, early intervention is very important. Although she is young, this is exactly when therapy should begin to fill in any gaps in developmental language skills. That way, when she becomes school aged, she is able to communicate effectively and access the school curriculum as needed. Please reach out to a speech language pathologist to confirm that a delay is present and to see if therapy would be beneficial for your daughter. Hope this helps!
It usually is not serious, but it should be evaluated by a speech language pathologist to determine if treatment is warranted or not.
