Muscle spasms?

Hello, I am currently having muscle spasms in my neck and have had them for a while. When I apply tension to any other area of my body the spasms relocate to those areas temporarily. For instance, if I squeeze my hands, my hands start spasming instead. When I relocate the spasms to my hands or any other area of my body, my mood also shifts significantly. I feel much happier and relaxed. I also have a much easier time speaking, as it takes less effort. Once I relax and sit in my normal position, I start feeling not that great. My neck spasms don’t bother me as much, but the emotional comfort and ease of speaking I receive from redirecting the spasms elsewhere leads me to look for a solution.

Your situation is unique. I would only comment that there is quite a bit of overlay between the physical and our psyche. I would just make sure that your blood metabolic tests such as Calcium, Magnesium, and Ferritin levels are checked and that perhaps a cervical MRI is done if indicated.
