Perianal abscess?

Hi doctor! Following my recent constipation, I developed a lump that is very close to my anus. It hurt a bit when I put pressure on it but doesn’t hurt if I don’t touch it. I am wondering if this could be a perianal abscess. Thank you so much!

Good morning, Given the description of the symptoms, it is quite possible that you could have or a a perianal abscess or possibly a thrombosed external hemorrhoid or a prolapse internal hemorrhoid. I would recommend evaluation with your primary care physician or a colorectal surgeon. Thank you, Lynn M.
