Radiologist Questions Ct Scan

What could the stone-like appearance in my abdominal CT be?

I recently underwent a CT Scan of the abdomen due to my unusual abdominal pain that I was experiencing. Although there was nothing mentioned in the report, I did notice some stone-like appearances towards the right side. What could these be?

Hello,

Stones anywhere in the body will look like very bright/whitish spot (or spots) of variable sizes. Now, calcification/mineralization in the organs may look similar; telling the difference between calcification and stones will depend on location.

Cheers!
Couldn't say without seeing the actual images and what density they actually were and exactly where they were located.
It could be a gallstone or could be kidney stones. You could also have calcifications in lymph nodes. Actually, I would have to look at the films in order to tell you. Those are the could be’s.
