It hurts to swallow, there are red spots on my tonsils. My lymph nodes aren't swollen.

Non strep tonsillitis. Take antiinflammatories and stay hydrated.
I suggest you consult with an ENT physician. There is no substitute for a face-to-face interview and medical examination.
