Yes, most of the time, It depends on the amount of astigmatism
In most cases yes. The eyes will be measured before surgery and your surgeon will tell you. Certain types and amounts of astigmatism cannot be corrected with LASIK.
LASIK, just like other refractive surgeries such as PRK, ICL and SMILE, can correct your astigmatism. If your refractive error is purely astigmatism - you may not be a candidate if you have too little, or too much astigmatism. I would recommend getting a refractive surgery consultation so you know what you are a candidate for!
Astigmatism can be corrected by refractive surgery such as LASIK or PRK. There are limits to the degree of astigmatism that can be corrected.
Yes it can
The simple answer is yes, depending upon the amount of astigmatism that you have. If there is some associated myopia or nearsightedness, then LASIK may be an option for you along with an astigmatism correction such as astigmatic keratectomy. My advice to you would be to have a complete eye examination which would include pachymetry that determines if your corneas are thick enough to undergo any refractive surgery, a refraction which determines your actual prescription and amount of your prescription, and a general eye health assessment including dilation and eye pressure measurements. Then a refractive surgeon can provide you your surgical options. Here is 1 of many websites that you can refer to: https://visioneyeinstitute.com.au/eyematters/can-laser-eye-surgery-fix-astigmatism/
Good luck and best wishes.
