Traditional eyelid surgery cannot change the shape of the eye if what you mean is making it more almond shaped than round. That would involve oculoplastic surgery on the corner of the eye called the canthus. If during eyelid surgery too much skin is removed from the lower lid, this could pull down on the lid, rounding the eye and making it less almond shaped. The surgeon must take great care to avoid this.

Make sure you point out the deformity as you see it. YOU see it. You may be mistaken as to the problem. And, it could require a totally different surgery.
