Ear problems

I was playing a video game at night, wearing a headset and I think it’s noise cancelling. After I took them off, I felt a heavy pressure in my right ear and it made me feel “dumb” and almost confused. It went away when I later facing upwards. After that I had gotten major chills at night and diarrhea. Went to the er and hospital. Both Told me I had the stomach flu. Both also told me my ear looks fine. But my ears have been popping when they pick up low sounds and sometimes they ring and sometimes slight pressure feeling but goes away quickly. Is it possible I’m having Eustachian tube problems?

Eustachian tube problems often accompany illness, particularly if upper respiratory symptoms are involved. This generally resolves with time. If the issue continues after all other symptoms have resolved see an audiologist for testing.    Angela R. Sieh Ceretto, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA Audiologist Pinnacle Audiology, LLC 6809 S.
