Bone marrow biopsy procedure takes approximately 30 minutes. Sometimes is longer the preparation for the procedure than the actual procedure. You will receive IV sedation and after the procedure you will be taken to a recovery area. Plan to have someone to drive you back home. You can continue your daily activities as soon as you feel adequate. However, it is recommended not submerging the skin area of biopsy in water (no swimming or wetting the area), and not strenuous exercises for at least a week. Please, check with your healthcare provider. Thank you.
It would not take more than half hour of a usual needle biopsy of bone marrow.
5 or 10 minutes.
Up to 3-4 hours.
The actual procedure will take 15 or 20 minutes. They will prepare skin with betadine the n inject xylocaine then insert a biopsy needle and extract the biopsy. Then they apply pressure.

I believe it takes less than 1 hour.
