How long does it take to get bone marrow biopsy results?

I will have a bone marrow biopsy. How long does it take to get bone marrow biopsy results?

it should be within 24-72 hours no later than that.
The biopsy report takes 24 - 48 hours depending on the findings and if there is a need to do additional tests to confirm the results.
It may 3-5 days, as the bone needs to be decalcified to process the bone marrow biopsy.
This can take 2-3 weeks or more depending on the indication, as some of the cytogenetic studies require the growth of your live cells in culture dishes, which like growing your plants can’t be rushed.
