In most nonurgent elective cases, it has become a same day outpatient procedure where the patient will be monitored for few hours after procedure and will be discharged on the same day with instructions to follow on the procedure site and other symptoms like bleeding. In urgent or with sick patients, patient might have to be monitored from 24 to 72 hours after heart stenting procedure in a hospital setting.
Many patients will be sent home on the same day. Most patients will be discharged within 24 hours from the time the stent was placed
It depends up to 4-5 days.
