OB-GYN (Obstetrician-Gynecologist) Questions OB-GYN

I have a question about STD testing?

I was wondering if I could legally go get tested for STDs without a parent?

Greetings. Yes. In many states, this is one of the reasons for which a minor can seek medical care without the presence/knowledge of an adult parent. If you give the medical office your parents’ insurance information, however, their insurance company will likely send your parents an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) notice, which will likely cause your parents to ask you many questions. To keep the medical office visit entirely private, you should pay cash.
