Uneven side & nostril after septorhinoplasty

In january I had septorhinoplasty with turbinate reduction & an external rhinoplasty to reduce my tip. It's been 7 months and one of my nostril is still uneven and now, my nose looks crooked. Is it because of swelling? I am in a very warm climate. In february, my nose looked straight and smaller (pls see photo) but now, the inclination on one side is noticeable and I fear it will look like this permanently. Also, my columella looks swollen. My surgeon is currently on sick leave so I cannot book an appointment but I want to book with someone else to hear a different opinion. Please, can you advise? Why my nose looks crooked after 7 months but after 1 month it looked better? Thank you very much

I'm sorry you are experiencing this. Rhinoplasty is a tricky surgery for a number of reasons, one of them being the healing process. As the skin shrink wraps back onto the bone and cartilage framework, it can sometimes cause the nose to twist one way or the other. Even in the best surgical hands, this can happen. It takes a full year to heal and at one month there is still a lot of swelling between the skin and the framework below. I'd recommend seeing your surgeon when he or she gets back into town. Regarding nostril sizes, this is something that patients always fixate
