Liver kidney transplants are not very common in the pediatric population. However, most children do well with transplant in the right pediatric setting..
Needing a liver-kidney transplant is the serious part of the question. This would not be recommended, I would say, unless his life is in jeopardy without it. Please discuss your concerns with his doctors.
