14. Omar Sharif
Omar Sharif (1932-2015) was born Michel Dimitri Chalhoub in Egypt. He was the dashing and sometimes controversial actor in “Lawrence of Arabia,” “Doctor Zhivago,” and “Funny Girl.” Nominated for an Academy Award, Sharif did win three Golden Globe Awards. Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2015, his family reported that he had forgotten most of his illustrious career.
