9. Rita Hayworth
Rita Hayworth (1918-1987) was a glamorous actress who rose to stardom in the 1940s. Rita was the poster girl for hundreds of WWII GIs. She began losing her memory, but no diagnosis of Alzheimer's was forthcoming. Hayworth became “the face of Alzheimer’s disease” during the 1980s and is honored at the annual Rita Hayworth Gala.
