Actress Marcia Gay Harden Says in Memoir, "Alzheimer's Took Away My Mother."

Harden's book is a poignant memoir that brings the stories of her mother to life. Throughout her memoir, Harden also reflects on her mother's spirit that she believes is still in her body.

In the book, Harden illustrates her mother's life on the Island of Yokohama during the Vietnam War, and how she guided her family in Japan. She also goes into how her mother became interested in ikebana, the ancient art of flower arranging.
