Frances Winfield Bremer
Bremer was wife to Ambassador L. Paul Bremer, III, the former administrator to Iraq. Bremer is also an author, and both she and her husband are outspoken advocates for fibromyalgia. In 2007, she was assigned the honor of being the spokeswoman for the National Fibromyalgia Association.
Frances was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in the 80s after experiencing widespread pain during her teenage years and through her 20s, and since then has proudly shared her personal story. Her position as spokeswoman for the National Fibromyalgia Association is a valuable tool to spread awareness and eventually find a much-needed cure.
