There are other celebrities affected by early onset Parkinson's disease, including Michael J. Fox
Brian Grant isn't the only celebrity diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's disease. Another celebrity with early onset Parkinson's disease is a champion for Parkinson's disease: Michael J. Fox. Michael J. Fox was one of the most recognizable faces in the 1980s. Between his Back to the Future films and his hit role on Family Ties, Fox was all over. Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease when he was only 28 years old, but he did not come out to the public about his diagnosis until 1998. Since he announced his diagnosis, Michael J. Fox has been a valuable patient advocate. He started the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and has been raising funds to study how physicians can prevent, treat, and cure Parkinson's disease. But, his ultimate goal? Find a cure for Parkinson's disease.
Even with Parkinson's disease, his acting career has not stopped. He had a role in the TV show The Good Wife, and has made cameos on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm.
