Jamie-Lynn Sigler Discusses Life with Multiple Sclerosis

She was handling her treatment all alone, too

However, it was not only at work that she would keep her condition under wraps. She attended every single doctor appointment, physical therapy session, and treatment all by herself. Whenever she was feeling down, she simply waited for it to pass, not telling a single person. She explains the toll this took on her, "I just never involved anybody in my life with my disease. I was really going through it alone ... I became incredibly depressed. I was back to living alone and confused and scared about life in general, not just with MS."

Once she started speaking to a therapist, she was able to find ways to better process her emotions, and learned how to accept the love and support of her friends and family.
