Ronald Reagan's Daughter Patti Davis Discusses Alzheimer's Disease
Davis's feelings of loneliness and isolation
During a period of ten years, she was losing her father to Alzheimer’s before her very eyes. It is difficult for others to realize that it takes a toll on the caregiver to watch their loved one lose themselves to a disease that makes no sense.
As Patti Davis so eloquently puts it, “In the world of Alzheimer’s, more than with any other disease, the family members are patients too. Having a safe place to go to talk, cry, laugh sometimes, widens the worlds, and lighten some of the pain.”
