Scientist Behind Dolly the Sheep, Key to Parkinson's Research, Has Disease Himself

Though his health is declining, Dr. Wilmut remains positive.

Fortunately, this apparent decline in his health is not ruining Dr. Wilmut’s positive spirit. Dr. Wilmut told the Times of London that he was more than happy to “act as a guinea pig and either donate tissue or try new treatments.”

He isn’t just speaking out of desperate hopes of finding a cure for the currently cure-less disease. Professor Sir Ian Wilmut also has true faith in science. “To me, science has always been important, not just because of the basic knowledge that it acquires but because of the opportunities, or in this case, treatments.”
