Parkinson’s is a chronic disease that affects more than 10 million people worldwide, and the statistics by Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) show that it is more prevalent in men than it is in women. Over the years, there have been several theories postulated as to how and why the disease develops but none of which could be considered a definitive answer. Thus, research is still on-going in order for doctors and medical professionals to truly determine the cause of the disorder.
