Breakfast Muffins Frozen Ahead of Time
Muffins are oftentimes considered the quintessential breakfast option by some. With important vitamins and fiber stored in every delicious bite, breakfast muffins can be a great way to start the day. A simple and delicious muffin recipe can even be prepared ahead of time and frozen. Frozen muffins can be an easy way to grab a quick and healthy breakfast on the go with just a little effort beforehand. To freeze prepared muffins, first allow them to cool completely. Place the muffins on a baking sheet or other similar object, allowing them to freeze for around 1 ½ hours to 2 hours. Once they are totally frozen enough to not stick together and freeze individually, place them into a large freezer-safe bag or container. To thaw, simply microwave for 2 minutes at half-power, then continue to check on them until heated to the desired level. Or for an alternative method, allow to thaw at room temperature for an hour or until thawed through. These will store up to 3 to 3 ½ months in proper temperatures.
