Liver disease is also common in patients with CF. Approximately 20-40% of patients will develop CF related liver disease at some point (Uptodate). Patients who develop liver disease related to CF often have chronic malabsorption of fat. It is therefore even more important that CF patients ensure that they take in a proper amount of fat soluble vitamins.
