Consumer Alert: “Gluten-Free” Claims Are Now All Over the Market

The final say

It is truly a good thing that the government has been exerting an effort to regulate the use of the gluten-free labels on products that are being sold in the market. So, consumers should be wiser in making their food choices. Consumers should know that just because a certain food manufacturing company places a gluten-free claim on some of their products doesn’t necessarily mean that all of the products they are offering are free of gluten.

For people who have celiac disease, allergies to gluten or are simply health conscious, the best tip is to always check the label first whenever buying foods from the supermarket. Also, they need to be knowledgeable about the foods that often contain gluten like bread, biscuits, cake, crackers, pasta, and pies.
