Children's symptoms of celiac are very unique

According to Everyday Health, celiac disease was once believed as a childhood disease until it was revealed that adults can be diagnosed with it as well. Because more adults are being diagnosed with the disease, experts are now understanding how common the autoimmune disease actually is. Celiac disease doesn't stop at the gastrointestinal symptoms, like bloating, diarrhea, constipation and fatigue. Signs and symptoms can also be bone loss, malnutrition, lactose intolerance, depression, and mood changes

It has been found that celiac disease is linked to over 200 symptoms, which leaves doctors a lot of room for error. These symptoms also mimic other diseases. Fortunately, there are specific tests to diagnose the disease, but these procedures are usually invasive.
