Wine could make vaccines more effective
Just got a flu shot? It might not be your first thought, but drinking a glass of wine will not only numb the soreness but also make the vaccine more effective. This was discovered in part by a study where twelve monkeys were given vaccines and gave them either four percent ethanol or sugar water with equal calorie counts. After overseeing the monkeys for 21 months, the drinkers showed increase vaccine response compared to the non-drinkers.
