To what degree is the bite problem caused by improper size and relative position of the jaws, and to what degree is it caused by improper position of the teeth in both jaws. 2. The answers to these questions require thorough examination, discussion with parents, and the appropriate orthodontic records which will include interpretation of the clinical and radiographic data that have been obtained. The orthodontist will then be able to assess the timing and the nature and the extent of the treatment he or she will recommend to you.
