Can not tell via this pix. Suggest seeing a podiatrist. Likely nothing but some blood under the nail. However melanoma needs to be rules out!

There are other things that can cause bleeding under the nail such as a glomus tumor (not cancer, but painful). Find a good DPM near you and get an appt.

4-7 days is big. After mild pain. It however takes months to feel normal.

Simple answer. Yes and better than primary care or dermatologist.
