Ashley Price

Dentist

Growing up in a family that was largely fearful of dental care, Dr. Ashley Price found herself to be a bit of an outsider, taking joy in every visit to the dentist. This contrast helped guide her to the decision to become a dentist. Dr. Price wanted to help people feel comfortable with their dental care so they could have the same great experiences she did as a child.

Dr. Ashley Price earned her bachelor's degree in microbiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2002 and went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the LSU Dental School in New Orleans in 2006.

After graduation, Dr. Price moved back to Lafayette to be near family and practice dentistry in the city she loves. Dr. Price loves getting to know her patients, and she is committed to helping all of them feel like family.

Dr. Price feels fortunate that she gets to help people by relieving their pain and educating them on advancements in technology that have made pain-free dentistry a reality. She also understands that a smile can change your life through elevated confidence and self-esteem.

"I love giving my patients the smile they never dreamed they could have," Dr. Price said.

In addition to serving the community as a trusted oral health provider, Dr. Price also serves her faith community as a Eucharistic Minister and Edge Youth Group Minister. Her strong faith helps her to maintain a positive attitude and keep the wellbeing of others as her central focus.

When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Price loves spending time with her husband Jeremy, their two children, AJ and Marissa, and their dog Louie. Marissa plays travel volleyball and the fiddle, and AJ plays football and baseball. They both attend John Paul the Great Academy. She and her family love attending LSU and UL sporting events, and they are very active in their church parish, where both children are altar servers.

Service is her true passion and whenever she can, Dr. Price volunteers her time to help others.

Continuing education is also a passion for Dr. Price, prompting her to pursue post-graduate training at over twice the rate required by the state, earning more than 100 hours every two years. The state only requires 40. She has also pursued special training in sedation dentistry, better allowing her to care for her more fearful patients. Dr. Price is a preferred provider for Invisalign.

Dr. Price is a part-time faculty member at the Louisiana State University Health and Science Center's Dental Hygiene Program and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Louisiana Dental Association, and the Acadiana Dental Association.

Dr. Price is an active member of the Seattle Study Club, and Acadian Southern Society, and the Clear Aligner Society.
