Dr. Keith H. Newby Sr. is a renowned cardiologist who has been serving patients in Norfolk, Virginia for over a decade. He founded Fort Norfolk Medical and Fort Norfolk Plaza with a vision to offer world-class medical care to the community. In September 2010, his vision became a reality when the state-of-the-art, nine-floor medical facility was established in the historic Fort Norfolk area of downtown Norfolk.

The facility houses four departments: Cardiology, Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Diagnostic Testing. Dr. Newby Sr. is also actively involved in the James E. Newby Jr. MD Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and funding research aimed at cardiac disease and related chronic illnesses. The foundation also provides assistance to the citizens of Virginia in need.

Dr. Newby Sr. earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1990. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory University Hospital in 1993 and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Duke University Hospital in 1997. He is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

As a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), Dr. Newby Sr. is affiliated with Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He is committed to providing high-tech, high-quality care to the residents of Hampton Roads and beyond.
