Some practitioners will do just one arch at the time depending on preference and severity of the case. At the end of an appointment, wire is attached to the brackets. To hold wire engaged in the bracket, we use a different color of elastomerics. Some brackets have a special gate to hold the wire. Your wire will need to be changed every 4-8 weeks while brackets stay till the end of the treatment.

Every dry socket should be checked by your dentist/oral surgeon, cleaned and rinsed so the new blood clot can form and protect the bone.
