If there is pain and/or shortness of breath involved, you should always go to the ER. It's possibly just anxiety, but that is ALWAYS a diagnosis of "exclusion," meaning only made if all other tests are negative.

After a day or so of this, bland foods like rice, cream of wheat, plain pasta...then after a day of that, regular food. If you have tried all that strictly and she is still vomiting, she probably needs an IV for fluids, but only a practitioner with experience who has physically examined her can make that determination.
