Dr. Tarnoski practices at Philadelphia Dental Laser and Cosmetic Dentistry, LLC. This office offers LANAP and LAPIP Laser Services. These services use the Periolase MVP-7 Laser(TM). This laser, was built specifically to treat gum disease of natural teeth (LANAP) and gum disease of implants (LAPIP). The unique wavelength targets the bacteria that causes gum disease but uses a minimally invasive, BUT highly effective treatment. With LANAP and LAPIP there is no cutting/no sewing. There is less pain. This laser stimulates YOUR OWN BODY's STEM CELLS. Your body rebuilds its own supporting tooth structures to the best of its ability. THIS IS "YOUR SECOND CHANCE" to start with a mouth free of all gum disease bacteria. All gum disease bacteria is gone in one treatment!

Good mouth care is now your future. Mouth bacteria, gum disease bacteria, are not just staying in your mouth. The research shows, bacteria in your mouth gets into your bloodstream and is traveling to your brain, liver, pancreas, kidneys, joints, bladder, (etc.). Gum Disease and ALZHEIMER'S--There is a relationship. Inflamed arteries and veins, uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, High blood sugar, Pancreatic Cancer, all have a relationship. A high percentage of these patients have or had gum disease.

Our office helps patients develop a mouth care plan. No flossing, careless brushing but you visit your dentist twice a year? Patients have their teeth in their mouth--24/7: putting food in your mouth continuously, not cleaning your mouth to remove food particles? Food particles are rotting in your mouth and along with the bacteria and this is moving all over you body and we know this can't be good. The damage from cigarettes alone has injured our bodies. You don't smoke? But what about the bacteria and the toxins roaming all over your body, this can't good. The best you can do is clean your mouth, teeth and remove the bacteria. Your significant other can also have gum disease. Close contact
transmits gum disease. Parents lack of good mouth care can affect their children.

Mouth care is major part of our office. We also work with those patients who have been in head and neck pain longer than 18 months. We work with TMJ patients but also work with patients who are still in pain.

Our office practices general dentistry.

In some dental offices, a dentist may have a hygiene department that includes a staff of hygienists. In PENNSYLVANIA, a licensed dental hygienist has the dentist examine the patient first. That is to check for any problems that the patient may have and needs to be evaluated by a specialist. The dentist will come in after the hygienist has completed cleaning the patient's teeth and reminding them how to floss correctly and brush correctly daily. He will listen to what findings the hygienist has concerns about then checks the patient's mouth. Some dental offices have a hygienist and the dentist will clean the patient"s teeth. This might surprise you, but plaque forms every day, whether you eat or not. Plaque has to be removed daily. All of us have to floss correctly daily and brush correctly daily to remove the plaque from your gum line and below the gum line. And you have to brush correctly daily. Plaque is a sticky mass of bacteria, food particles, dead and living bacteria, bacteria toxins, and toxic waste. Plaque hardens every 24 to 48 hours. In our saliva, we also have calcium that hardens. You have plaque forming every day, small food particles that are rotting, dead bacteria, living bacteria, fighting cells your body sends to fight the bacteria. You have a matrix of hardened calcium that you may know as tartar, plaque penetrates the tartar and gets close to your teeth. The bacteria in plaque releases acids that attack the enamel surface of your teeth. Those white areas you see on teeth can become cavities. If you don't floss and brush correctly on a daily basis, plaque hardens. This hardened plaque irritates your gum line tissue. You may have bleeding gums, swollen tissues. At this time you may want to stop flossing or brushing. You must keep flossing and brushing correctly. If you see your dentist, he may clean your teeth to remove the hardened plaque at the gum line and hopefully show you how to floss and brush. You have a two to three millimetres of ATTACHED GINGIVA. Every time you have a swollen gum situation your ATTACHED GINGIVA is wearing away. Your ATTACHED GINGIVA prevents food from going down to the root area of your teeth. Patients who never floss correctly daily and brush correctly daily for several years may be experiencing a more serious problem, PERIODONTITIS. At this point, the bone and supporting tissues may be involved. Bacteria is eating away the supporting bone and tissues surrounding your teeth. The patient may not be experiencing any pain, bad taste, or loose teeth. There is a large portion of the population that has serious gum problems. The sad part is that gum disease just doesn't effect your gums. Your whole body may be infected. Gum disease can spread through out your entire body through your blood vessels. Your organs may also be involved. Your blood vessels also pass through your body's organs and can affect them. You can see how important flossing and brushing correctly is so important. You eat every day and flossing correctly and brushing correctly is a small job. You are protecting your present health as well as your future health.

Plaque forms every day. Whether you eat or not plaque forms. Plaque is a sticky mass of bacteria that hardens in 24 to 48 hours. Plaque has bacteria, rotting food particles living bacteria, dead bacteria, toxins, fighting cells your body sends to fight the bacteria, living fighting cells, dead fighting cells, waste products. If you do not floss correctly daily and brush correctly daily plaque will crystallize in 28 to 48 hours. Only dental equipment will be able to remove the crystallized plaque. If you do not floss and brush correctly daily, you may have irritated red gums, swollen gum line tissues, bleeding gums. I see pictures of models with gum disease in magazines, TV, shopping channels. The majority of the whole population does not floss or brush correctly daily. Those patients who do visit the dentist, either the dental staff is not teaching correct flossing and correct brushing or patients are being taught and are not doing correct home care. IF YOU DO NOT FLOSS CORRECTLY AND BRUSH CORRECTLY DAILY, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR TEETH! This will not happen today or even next year, but over years eventually you will lose your teeth. And in the process, you will affect your entire body's health. As the bacteria slowly eats away your ATTACHED GINGIVA that prevents bacteria and food from sliding down to the roots of your teeth. Once the ATTACHED GINGIVA is gone, food particles are able to open up and move down towards the roots of your teeth and bacteria goes along with it. Once the bacteria is around your teeth and supporting bone structure, bacteria can enter the larger blood vessels and move around to all parts of the body and organs by the blood vessels. ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, STROKE, DIABETES, HEART DISEASE, LUNG PROBLEMS, PANCREATIC CANCER, BLOOD CANCER HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GUM DISEASE. PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE FLOSSING CORRECTLY AND BRUSHING CORRECTLY AS IF THEIR LIVES DEPENDED UPON IT, BECAUSE IT DOES!
