That's a great question no matter what your age. They are equally important! We have a saying, "Floss the teeth you want to keep." It's important to lower your risk of decay in-between your teeth and to keep the gum healthy. Brushing properly also reduces your risk of decay and gum disease. We would like for everyone to brush 3 times per day and floss 1 time per day and work up to 3 times per day. Good luck

Great question. No they can not. Teeth can be harmed while wearing braces but they do not directly harm the teeth. The harm comes in the form of eating what you should or not caring for your teeth during the treatment, as in brushing and flossing. Wearing braces does put you at a greater risk for decay and gum issues but with proper care and regular dental check ups this can be avoided.

Great question. Wearing dentures does not mean you'll have bad breath. There are many reasons for Halitosis. Improper care for your dentures and mouth could be one of them. Be sure to take your dentures out at night, clean them with a mild liquid dish soap. A toothpaste can put scratches in them and food and debris stick to these scratches and yuck. Brush your gums with a soft brush and use a non-alcoholic mouthwash. Dentures are not maintenance free. Oh, and never soak a dirty denture. I hope this helps and if you're already doing these things it could be something else. See your dentist regularly and have dentures refitted if you're using any denture adhesives and get a new denture every 5-7 years.
