After spending my childhood and adolescence in Lebanon, I came to the US with one goal in mind: To become one of the best doctors in the nation. I started my journey at Wayne State University where I earned an undergraduate degree in biological sciences. Then I spent a year working on my masters in biotechnology before going to St. George's University School of Medicine. After graduating, I started my residency in Internal Medicine at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During my three years of residency, I was heavily involved in research and won a total of 13 awards. My proudest accomplishment was winning the "Young Investigator Award" from the prestigious American College of Chest Physicians for my original research titled "Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet-to-Lymphocyte Ratio as Predictive Markers for DVT".
In July 2017, I started my fellowship in hematology/oncology at Ascension St. John Hospital. Since that day I strive to provide the best, state of the art care to my patients. I always like to treat all my patients with care, love and compassion. Each one of them is like a family member. I am also still heavily involved in research to help find new venues for the fight against cancer.
All this success could not be achieved alone. First of all, none of this couldn't have happened without God blessing. I would also like to thank my parents and siblings for always supporting me in my quest of becoming a doctor. I would like to give a special acknowledgment to the love of my life, my rock, Dr. Leen Kreidieh for always believing in me and giving me unconditional love and support. I can comfortably say that she is the main reason I am the man that I am today.
