Dr. Joseph completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and then a Fellowship in Pittsburgh focusing on LASER Cataract Surgery and Minimally invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGs), including Istent. Dr. Joseph is a board-certified Ophthalmologist, receiving his certification in 2012.

Dr. Joseph is one of the few Ophthalmologists in the United States recognized for his excellence by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). In 2018, the ACS nominated Dr. Joseph as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
