Meet Dr. Muhammad Azim Qureshi

Muhammad Asim Qureshi, MD is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist, practicing with Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where he is the sole physician. When it comes to pediatric patients, Dr. Qureshi specializes in Celiac Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Chronic Constipation, Fecal Encopresis Disorder, and Functional Gastrointestinal Disorder, among others.

In his office, Dr. Qureshi provides endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, foreign body removal, and polypectomy, among many other services. He understands that children will not experience these procedures in the same way that adults do, so he provides a uniquely comforting care environment.

Dr. Qureshi earned his MBBS degree in Pakistan before completing his pediatric residency training in New York. From there, he completed did his fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at Brown University/Hasbro Children Hospital in Rhode Island.

Before his time at Pediatric Gastroenterology Associates, he served as a faculty physician in Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Hershey Medical Center/Penn State College of Medicine, where he was involved in clinical research and patient care.

To further his experience, Dr. Qureshi is an active member of the American Gastroenterological Association, North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society, among several others.

To fully accommodate a wide variety of patients, Dr. Qureshi is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi. He prides himself on open, honest communication both between his staff and his patients.
