Middle ear infection usually treated with oral antibiotics. Viral may not treated or if severe with antivirals and steroids. Bacterial will usually respond to oral antibiotics. All earaches are not by definition ear infections.

This noise is more likely from your jaw joint. Advise not to do this any longer. If you need to clear your ears, do a valsalva maneuver. Look it up on your browser.
