Vikas Garg, MD, MSA is a Pain Management Specialist, practicing with Interventional Spine & Pain Management’s locations in Logan and Murray, Utah. They treat many pain-oriented conditions, such as low back pain, sports injuries, whiplash, migraines, car accident injuries, work-related injuries, and peripheral neuropathy, among many others.
Dr. Garg is double board certified, and is residency-trained in Anesthesiology and Family Practice. The combination of those skill areas allows Dr. Garg to create a supremely comfortable environment for each of his patients.
After completing his fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Washington in Seattle, Dr. Garg relocated to Michigan University, where he earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration, focusing his studies on health policy and administration.
Locally, nationally, and internationally, Dr. Garg is an active participant in pain societies, and he’s also written articles for the International Spine Intervention Society. His activity in the latest research has led him to publish articles on lower back pain and pain management as a whole.
Dr. Garg consults physicians on pain management. At his practice, however, he is the principal treating physician, providing many different types of care, including treating the patient directly, prescribing medication, prescribing rehabilitative services, performing pain relieving procedures, counseling patients and families, directing a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with other healthcare providers, and providing consultative services.
Dr. Garg does not believe in a one-size-fits-all method to treatment, so he specifically designs each treatment plan to be unique for the patient. One of his main goals is to educate his patients on their conditions and their overall health.
