Program your mind to live the life you want. Be the person you want to be!
Is it any wonder when you are and have been surrounded by experiences of death, destruction, trauma and abuse that you will smoke, drink excessive alcohol, and/or take drugs. This is how your mind has been programmed to see the world and how life is lived. However, deep inside of you every now and then this little voice pops up: "I don't want to be like this. I don't want my life to be like this."
The power is within you and this is what you can do!
Every day, unless you take charge of the information that is already in my your mind and what is going into your mind, you are being subliminally programmed for disaster. Your brain is the most powerful organ in your body. Scientists haven't been able to duplicate its complexities. Would you like to learn how to develop your mind/brain to be able to cope with life's challenges, irrational thought patterns, and emotional moments?
I am going to refer to the experiences of your life, the subliminal programming that is and has taken place as being either weeds (negative thoughts/experiences) or beautiful seeds (positive thoughts/experiences) that will bloom into wonderful plants.
Weed out the weeds that are strangling you. Some of the weeds will be okay, not unlike the pretty soursob that comes up yearly in the garden, giving us a beautiful bloom of yellow flowers, then dying off in the summer. However there are weeds that, if we don't get them out of our garden, will strangle our beautiful plants, destroying the garden to where it just becomes a disaster. So, with your garden, you pull out or poison these weeds that are going to cause destruction, allowing the beautiful, healthy plants to grow. You might be asking, "What are you getting to here, Julie?"
What I am saying is that you can do the same with your mind/brain. You can let go of the negative patterning and thoughts, by first acknowledging and recognizing the negative impact they are having on your life. Whether it be damaging your health, problems with relationships, friendships, even just being happy with who you are and your life: Anything that isn't kosher with you, allowing you to feel or be the way you would like to be, the next stop is saying no and letting these thoughts drift off into oblivion, weeding them out. Then, to replace them, you have heard of affirmations; these are the beautiful plants/thoughts that you want to plant in your mind/brain. By replacing the negative thoughts and experiences with positive ones, you will feel better, have more positive relationships, and feel happier within yourself.
