The mouth is part of the body and gingiva is the open gate for the bacteria to the bloodstream. It is possible that your immunity was already a bit weakend- can also be menopause- and the most of the energy is focused to calm down inflammation, but you don’t have any other energy stocks left for the rest of the body. If it is upper molar, it is also possible that one of the surrounding anatomical parts are infected, too. And it has connection to the ear-eye-nose system or frontal part of the head. First address the same question to your dentist, then maybe a GP can help with some blood analysis. Sometimes there is nothing to do with the dental treatment, but a stress period or low immunity.

The usual situations of brown spots are actually beginning cavities or pigmentations of coffee or nicotine from cigars/cigarettes. In the first situation it will be not possible to get rid of the just with cleaning, in the second yes. These brown spots can also be local demineralizations, too much fluorization, energy drink/drugs/frequent soda spots affecting the enamel. The recommended age to stop helping with brushing is...10-12years old. And I will explain why. Kids like more to eat the brushing paste than to brush. You can at all times check how much the child had put on the toothbrush- it must not be a lot more than the nail of the little finger. Second of all, the permanent teeth are going to come at 5-6 years old, also front but also back. A lot of parents are not aware that also new teeth are coming as last teeth, do not brush properly and the kids are loosing the permanent teeth because of not brushing properly -cavities. The new teeth are coming until 12. Some parents are continuing brushing until they are 14, just to make sure. We recommend that you first brush the teeth, than let the child do it. That way they are not going to loose patience when it will be your turn.

Yes, it is possible. Sorry to say it, it is mostly a problem due to parents being to sweet...or supporting too soon sugar consumption. Kids shall not receive sugar or sugary things in the milk or tea and not having sirop or sweetened drinks during the night. It is recommended just normal tea, water, milk. Kids don’t recognize tastes until later, so giving them sugar is just going to provoke an addiction to that too soon. Another possibility is a genetic problem of the back teeth mostly or a too early consumption of penicillins-antibiotic of the kid or mother during pregnancy which affects the buds of the teeth. A pediatric dentist must check and keep the kid under supervision.
