Then you are taken to the Recovery Room and kept under observation until you are fully awake ( another 15 to 30 minutes.) Then you are discharged home. You will go home accompanied by a relative(s) or friend(s). You should avoid driving, operating heavy equipment, and going out for a walk by yourself alone on the first day of your surgery.
