It is now reasonably clear that Covid-19 is a multiple organ disease in both adults and children. The infectivity rates are even higher in children than in adults because of sanitation habits and milling behavior. Scientists from around the world, particularly Yale infectious disease specialists, collaborating with Japanese scientists who communicate with China now report accurate modeling. School reopenings are now seriously risky and should not be undertaken in areas where the infectivity rate has not been low for some time and where masks and face shields are not mandatory. Reinfection has been noted in several cases and immunity may be organ-specific and time-limited. Polio type recurrence after substantial time is likely in apparently recovered children. It seems that we can no longer trust a politicized CDC.
Last night, we were treated to the final RNC performance where the pretense of royalty by the Trump family in the trappings of the White House and with the endorsement of a Secretary of State (Pompeo) on duty in Jerusalem continued the violation of the principle of not using public office and the emoluments thereof for campaigning. We were offered no solutions, no programs but instead false images apparently prepared by the staff of The Apprentice. There have been 181,000 deaths from SARS-CoV- 2 and we have 25% of the world's cases while being only 4% of the world's population. In this light, last nights show and the entire RNC event discouraging social distancing and masks, becomes a super spreader event with death and disease likely spreading in the next three weeks.

But in the Trump era we have the latest police brutality, Jacob Blake shot seven times in the back, the murder of two protesters by a 17 year old Trump supporter protecting property in a neighboring state by use of his second amendment rights in support of his first amendment rights. Militias at the ready, right-wing police at the ready, objecting athletes going back to competition, and Putin flexing his muscles. Biden and Harris have stables to run rivers through if they can evict the shabby Romanoff imitators and can avoid running the Styx through the U.S. Aegean Stables.
