There has been an upsurge of violence both physical and intellectual against public health principles and practice.The burgeoning anger of a politicized hoipoloi is expectable when it is attached to culture wars but the turning against these principles and practitioners by a sophisticated academic elite is alarming.My explanation has to do with my belief that we are all playing a billionaires game.I have been " a friend of Yale ' for the past twenty years acting as a fundraiser and contributor to the University mostly to the school of Public Health and the Department of Psychiatry.When in order to preserve a hefty donation and possibly a name change on a building the donor required alternative truths to be supplied to students,I resigned my fundraiser and contributor role.I have not become an enemy of Yale since I owe a great deal to the institution and was a former faculty member in three departments and I know that all of the elite institutions have similar problems.I have found myself unable to log into the Yale events since my credentials are said to require updating and mysteriously no one is able to help.I can no longer reach the President or anyone with administrative authority.I wanted to see the result of a zoom dialogue between proponents of the current policy and opponents no one can help me.I would probably not trust the interpretation of the outcome I believe that those who would require the President to oppose the alternative truth policy are simply invoking his replacement.But alternative truth is not acceptable when the question is death rate from breast uterine,or prostatic cancer.It is one thing for President Salovey to enjoy his Hóuse on the Hill whether he acknowledges its slave origin or not,or his view of fields cultivated by house folks with a healthy caucasian admixture but an entirely unacceptable thing when diagnosis and treatment get into the culture wars and alternative truths are the denial of the impact or existence of disease in a population.Yale's Lux as every institutions Lux. its veritas belongs to verifiable science
The practice of medicine is difficult and under threat by state,local and even federal government if congress power ignore guiltional approval is required for actions previously protected by federal mandate.Feel good,non guilt or hold power,ignore guilt are the rules of culture war.To open the practice of medicine to them is criminal
