Fill in the blank.

I could feel free if ______________.

I had a different job?

I wasn't in medicine?

I had more help at home?

Spoiler alert, you CAN feel freedom in this very moment, without any drastic changes. Drastic changes come from tiny decisions of freedom adding up to giant life shifts.

In this moment, freedom could look like:

An opening of your heart space from a gratitude practice.

A “ no” where you usually would have said “ yes”

A detachment to the response from another.

Saying no to an extra call day, an extra shift, or any extra obligation.

Freedom is a part of EVERYONE's journey.

Let's make sure you understand what freedom isn't:

Freedom isn't an act of selfishness.

Freedom doesn't make you heartless, mean, or any less of a team player.

Freedom should never stand in the middle of you and fulfilling relationship.

When you don’t feel free in your soul, your decisions reflect that, and you create a constant cycle of confining experiences. You over commit, you take ownership of what isn’t yours, you don’t speak up, you don’t take time to yourself, you don’t speak you truth, AND SO THE CYCLE CONTINUES.

Freedom is not always giant acts of chopping out toxicity like a machete in the jungle ( although this can be therapeutic but also requires recovery time). Freedom is tiny step, every day, in the right direction that your soul is leading you.

I leave you with this last nugget. You are worthy of freedom, end of story.
