If placed well, it takes a few minutes to “set up” and you are numb!

Absolutely not! Sorry but most dentists will not even give you a local anaesthetic while pregnant.

It's a bad idea, but generally not necessary unless they are using sedation.

Generally if it’s light sedation, nitrous oxide gas and intravenous sedatives. I am not a fan of deep sedation or general in the office.

For a simple extraction of one tooth it’s not very uncomfortable. If multiple teeth and impacted it can be a bit uncomfortable after the injection wears off
