Hello - - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is your start. One needs to begin to find out where the need for food to "comfort" a mental health issue, came from.

I would absolutely suggest this before trying any at home therapy. Seek professional help, and move from there.

Hello - - Absolutely it can. Please note it's best to start with a D.O. who will send your daughter for blood work. Once those results return, start looking into what needs to be worked on and what specific specialist will provide help to her, on her grounds. Always start with blood work. That will tell you a laundry list if possible issues that need attention and/or have caused the gain in weight.

If at all possible, once you begin this journey, and the results are provided from blood work panels, make proper life change diet decisions based off the blood work. No one ever is on a diet. It's a lifestyle change, forever. While there are a lot if options, her body and her blood work will state what is best. For example, if she's pre diabetic or is diagnosed instantly from the blood work, a Keto based diet will be best alongside a slow but dedicated work out regimen. It all depends on what is best for her. The damage possibly caused by being obese is real and that's going to have to be your main focus.

Hello-- There are many forms of anxiety and many ways one obtains it.

From being the main issue, to being a comorbid issue, one needs to seek professional help to start a journey to better help one's self in staying on top of the control only you have, to curb the symptoms.

Social Anxiety VS General Anxiety alone, is a laundry list if differences between them, that makes one "cured" and one "manageable".

Cured or managed, the step taken to help yourself is key. Take the steps. Do the hard work. Face your journey as a part of you not a finish line, and one can get there much quicker.

Hello--

1. Start with your family doctor. Present the symptoms, your observation of when the child is a 1 or a 10 on the rage scale. You must do the homework to being to your family doctor so they can provide you the best recommendations and referrals to a child psychiatrist and a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist.

2. Be patient. It's not going to stop over night. In a week. A month... A year. As a parent, you will have to be involved in every step. Every failure. Every choice that wasn't for them, given to them by a professional. Remember, it's called a "practice" for a reason. So be patient with the doctors, too.

3. You're going to have to have family group sessions and your child, one on one sessions. It takes a village. Build a safe surrounding.

Hello-- Yes. It's that simple.

To elaborate further as I'm sure a yes is not enough, the more you allow your brain to go untreated, the more of it is damaged, which then creates more mental health issues. The brain is physical. The mind is what the health of that physical brain is in. If you eat unhealthy foods, the amount of damage one may have can be a lot or a little depending on genetics and control; knowing and admitting there is a problem one needs to fix. The brain is the same way. The more stress, anxiety, depression, ptsd, etc., is pushed on the brain, the more areas in one's body can become harmed. The Vagus Nerve is the highway to our whole body from our brain. The body works in harmony with the whole of YOU. Mental Health, brain deteriorating issues, will spread.

You are in control. Take it and run and be safe, healthy and happy.

Hello Have you allowed yourself a sleep study yet? Are your diagnosed issues above treated by a Psychiatric professional? Sleep studied allow for a professional to see what the root cause is for the symptoms you are experiencing. Blood work, how often does your DO send you for them? Are you taking necessary steps to keep a dedicated journal of your symptoms? What you ate the day before? What stress level you were at? Did something out of the ordinary occur that day? Start Journaling. Keep a list of things that you ate, did, didn't do, wanted to do but didn't, did but didn't want to do, feelings, good bad and otherwise.

Be your own advocate. Do the homework. And seek out someone to talk to about all of it.

Sometimes, we think it's all about the diagnosis alone. But alone it does no good if one is not also changing day to day habits that may contribute to your feelings.

You can and you will succeed if you do not continue doing the same things again and again and thinking a different outcome will be produced. Change is hard. Thought process change is even harder. And when you chunk down big huge amounts of lists you need to do to better your health, it is easier and not so bound to your thoughts. They will become intrusive.

Hello--

I see you stated you do not have any professionally diagnosed conditions, however you stated from a young child you have experienced Arithmomania?

From my experience, this whole description you have provised us can range from anxiety to CPTSD, to depression, to a disorder.

My opinion is you should seek out a Cognitive Behavioral Psychologist first. Let them decide what is what. Your racing and intrusive thoughts could be ADHD, they could be insomnia, they could be anything. Comorbid even. I think for you to find some ground to plant into, you must seek out professional help whether an online therapist or in person, it's time.

Stay well. You control your actions, mind and mental health. Be your own advocate.

Will psychotherapy help anxiety?

Hello-- I'd say it's time to reassess your medications.

Seek a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and start there.

One should never just stop taking medication. From controlled to even just blood pressure medication, it's dangerous to do so.

The anxiety medication you are on plus prescribed pain medication will essentially drop your dopamine levels to ziltch. If you were on emotional regulation medication such as anti depressants, there was a reason. Time to take the journey.

Be healthy and make good choices.

Hello--ADHD is the professional term. There are no ADD VS ADHD patients anymore. With that out of the way.....

It is a whole entire spectrum. What helps for one won't for another. Depending on the type of ADHD they have, most have a combination but it can be just 1 of the 3 possible types, will begin their journey on how to manage their ADHD. There is no cure. It's learning to manage what is hardest. And one will fail. Over and over even when they think they have it pegged. That's okay.

The best solution is to find an ADHD Coach and have them seek help through that individual. They can take a closer look at the practices that will be best to try first to not prolong finding the right ones.

Hello-- YES. The answer is that simple.

Major enough was the whole portion that only mattered to me. Sounds like it's time for a sleep study. Very common path to finding out what is causing the hallucinations. Could be insomnia, which is being caused by anxiety or some other treatable and manageable issue like ADHD. Could be narcolepsy and you're micro sleeping, not getting to a proper level on your rem, and dream wake birds can occur. Doesn't have to be only birds..

Seek out a D.O., get a referral to a sleep study clinic and get at it.

You want to not let this kind of thing go on and on. The effect on the brain is more damaging the longer one does not seek out a doctor. If your leg were broken, and it caused a limp, and that limp made you fall a lot, would you just put an ace bandage on it? No.

The brain is physical. The mind then becomes hindered. That in turn hurts other areas of the body. The body in reverse can do the same, again just in reverse. So seek a family medicine Dr and start there.

Good luck!

Hello-- ADHD is the professional term. There are 3 types. ADD has since been absorbed into that spectrum of ADHD.

With that said, there is no end date. ADHD is learning how to manage the symptoms that come with the type this person was diagnosed with. As I am assuming it's an actual diagnosis. But it's a life long learn, success, fail and repeat life.
